It has become quite evident that the 300 mile rule and the limiting of fuel capacity probably won't work. I put the 300 mile rule in to "force" competitors to take a break, something that some LD riders fail to do and something I think is important to do. So, now taking an important rest every now and then will be "strongly urged", but not mandatory. Limiting the fuel capacity really went hand in hand with the 300 mile rule and resting. There are some vast stretches out west that could force riders to fill up at the 200 mile mark to make sure they're not penalized for going over 300 miles. So, it too is out. Hopefully these changes come early enough so everyone can build their bikes to their own specifications. Bill

Just to clarify (I'm putting together the bike design now): there will be no limit on fuel capacity, and no formal requirements for stops during the Cannonball?
Thanks!
Ray
(PS: on the motorcycle side, where/when can we register for the Cannonball?)
